Updating the GSU List
The GSU List was updated on 15 March. Belize and Dominica, as well as an international qualification, CAPE, have been added to the list. The GSU List specifies the requirements for general university and college admissions certification for applicants educated abroad.
In addition to adding new countries and qualifications, changes were made concerning the following countries:
- Antigua and Barbuda
- Barbados
- Belize
- Burundi
- Dominica
- England, Wales and Northern Ireland
- Grenada
- Guyana
- Jamaica
- Madagascar
- Malta
- Namibia
- Rwanda
- Saint Lucia
- Slovenia
- Somalia
- Syria
- Trinidad and Tobago
- Venezuela
- Zambia
We also made some small changes to the language annex.
“Changes are generally made due to new information about and/or reforms to the education systems of individual countries,” said Stig Arne Skjerven, Director of Foreign Education in NOKUT.
The GSU List is used in the admissions process for applicants with foreign educations and for approving foreign educations. The Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund uses the list when providing educational support for courses abroad. NOKUT is responsible for the list, which is updated twice a year: 15 March and 15 November.
