  • Communication and Public Relations

    NOKUT makes active efforts to increase Norwegian society's knowledge about higher education and tertiary vocational education. The unit for Communication and Public Relations is in charge of and coordinates NOKUT's contact with the media and society at large.

    The unit shall contribute to NOKUT’s ambition to be perceived as a visible ambassador for quality in education in the Norwegian society.

    The unit for Communication and Public Relations is mainly responsible for the development of and publishing on the following sites:

    – NOKUT's blog (in Norwegian only)
    – NOKUT on Twitter (in Norwegian only)
    – NOKUT on Facebook (in Norwegian only)

    The unit is also responsible for NOKUT's intranet and graphic profile.

  • Department for Accreditation and Quality Assurance

    NOKUT is the competence centre and supervisory authority for study programmes at Norwegian universities, university colleges and vocational schools. We accredit new study programmes at Norwegian higher education institutions and supervise around 4,000 courses and programmes offered by 140 institutions.

    The Department for Accreditation and Quality Assurance supervises the provision of education at universities, university colleges and vocational schools. The supervisory activities include both verification of the quality of education and the institutions' quality work, and advising institutions on development.

  • Department for Evaluation and Analysis

    The Department for Evaluation and Analysis carries out evaluations, studies and analyses in order to acquire, compile and communicate knowledge that can be useful in the development work of the institutions and authorities.

    The department is also tasked with contributing to the further development of NOKUT's policy instruments, and it is NOKUT's statistics and quantitative data resource. In addition, the department is also responsible for Studiebarometeret – the National Student Survey

    The department cooperates with other NOKUT departments and external parties on individual projects.

  • Department for Organisation and IT

    The Department for Organisation and IT is responsible for the internal shared services finance and operations management, HR, IT, archiving, technical service of office equipment and management of premises.

    The department has an important role in developing NOKUT as an organisation, contribute to, and ensure a comprehensive and effective practice in accordance to strategies, policies and other regulations. In addition, the department offers services and provides support to the other departments in the day-to-day operations of NOKUT.
